Flexible plastic molding|High quality product manufacturer in China

In today's era of rapid development, new materials and new technologies continue to emerge, and flexible plastic molding, as a cutting-edge technology, is gradually changing our traditional understanding of plastic products. Flexible plastic molding technology, as the name suggests, refers to a processing method that can produce plastic products with high flexibility and malleability. This technology not only brings new life to the plastics industry, but also provides a broader creative space for designers.

Basic principle
To understand the basic principles of flexible plastic molding, we must first clarify what is flexible plastic. Flexible plastics usually refer to those plastic materials that can maintain good elasticity and flexibility within a certain temperature range. The core of this kind of material is that its molecular chain structure is relatively loose, so that the intermolecular force is relatively small, thus giving the material a good deformation ability and the ability to restore the original state. Flexible plastic molding is to take advantage of this characteristic, by heating, pressurizing or stretching the flexible plastic, so that it deforms under stress, and maintains the shape formed after cooling.

Common technique
Flexible plastic molding technology covers a variety of different processing methods, each of which has its own unique features. Among them, the most common are extrusion molding, injection molding, blow molding and thermal molding.

Extrusion molding: This is a continuous molding method, suitable for the production of long or tubular products. After the flexible plastic is heated to a molten state, it is pushed into the mold by the screw of the extruder, and the product with the required cross-section shape is formed through the mold under the action of pressure, and then completed by cooling.
Injection molding: This is one of the most common techniques used in flexible plastic molding. It works by injecting a flexible plastic in a molten state into a closed mold, which is then solidified by cooling to form the final product. In this way, products with complex geometric shapes can be produced with high dimensional accuracy.
Blow molding: mainly used for the production of hollow products, such as bottles or containers. The heated flexible plastic is first formed into a tube blank, and then put into the mold and compressed air is passed through the center of the tube blank, so that it expands and fits with the mold wall, and finally cooled and formed.
Thermoforming: This method is suitable for the forming of thin sheet flexible plastics. After softening the plastic sheet by heating, the material is close to the surface of the mold by vacuum adsorption or compressed air blowing, and the mold can be removed after cooling.
Process flow
Taking injection molding in flexible plastic molding as an example, the typical process flow is as follows:

Raw material preparation: Select suitable flexible plastic raw materials and add corresponding additives (such as plasticizers, stabilizers, etc.) as needed to improve material properties.
Melt plasticizing: the raw material is fed into the cylinder of the injection molding machine, and heated and shear mixed under the rotation of the screw to achieve a uniform melting state.
Injection molding: When the material reaches the set temperature, it is injected into the preheated mold through high pressure, and the entire cavity is filled.
Pressure holding cooling: In order to ensure uniform internal density of the product and prevent shrinkage and deformation, it is necessary to hold pressure in the mold for a period of time, and let the product fully cool and solidify.
Demoulding: When the product is completely cooled, open the mold to take out the finished product, so that a complete flexible plastic molding process is completed.
Flexible plastic molding technology plays an important role in modern industrial production because of its unique material characteristics and diversified processing methods. With the progress of science and technology, it is believed that there will be more innovations applied in the future, and flexible plastic molding technology will continue to develop in the direction of higher efficiency and higher quality.
